working with Ecru

Ecru is a small team of creative people, each leading the way in their own field of expertise. It is a relaxed and informal work environment that breeds creativity, but respects the business critical nature of much of the work we do.

We occasionally seek outstanding individuals to join us, particularly in the following fields:

  • Creative web site design (CSS, jQuery, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, web standards, accessibility)
  • Technical web site design (ASP, .NET, Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL)
  • Marketing
  • Content creation and information architecture
  • Consultancy and client management

You need not possess all the specific skills that are required for the position. More important is that you can demonstrate flexibility, and the willingness and ability to learn relevant skills quickly, in a demanding commercial environment. Full training will be provided in the skills necessary to complete the job.

You should be able to demonstrate reliability and a commitment to excellence in previous projects you have been involved in, and show that you can work closely with team members of other disciplines and backgrounds.

If you feel that this describes you, and you would like to be considered for any future vacancies that may arise, please email your CV and covering letter to Ecru, for the attention of Sarah Lennard-Brown.

I wanted to say a big thank you for all your really hard work related to the launch of the assisted suicide interim policy. As usual, we expect you to deliver to short deadlines with short notice where getting everything ready to go live at a specific time is so important - and you do, superbly. At the Director's Group meeting this morning there were many plaudits for the website - in terms of the Assisted Suicide material, and also more broadly about what a good impression the website gives of the CPS as an organisation, including from the Director himself. So thanks again. Your really important contribution is well recognised and much appreciated.
